We have a classic example of how the "New York Times" wil publish a flat out lie about something when it suits them politically. This distortion is worse than Dowd's lie about Bush, because it was printed as front page news last week. Justice Antonin Scalia said in his dissent that:

"Let me be clear that I have nothing against homosexuals, or any other group, promoting their agenda through normal democratic means."

Joel Brinkley, in his June 26th article for the "New York Times," wrote it as:

" Justice Antonin Scalia wrote the dissent and took the unusual step of reading it aloud from the bench this morning, saying "the court has largely signed on to the so-called homosexual agenda," while adding that he personally has "nothing against homosexuals."

That is an explicit falsification of the quote. He, and the editor who passed it, should be fired. Here is the "Times" story.
