Millions of cubanos support Castro as the Lesser Evil they know at present, Then why has Castro never held an election, nor permitted anyone to become a viable candidate against him?? Your response is indicative of this "head in the sand" mentality I see coming from Chretien and those who follow him. Of course they "support" Castro. To oppose him is to know that you find yourself in one of his jails, or alienated from any benefits he reserves for his loyal followers... If I'm a leader of a organized criminal enterprise and I move to your town, I'll eventually run it.. All I have to do is terrorize you, buy off the public officials with a "plata o plomo" offer, divide any organized resistance to my regime, and create my own cult of personality...
