Standard propaganda. It is amazing, how consistent the propaganda is, from one guerrilla war, to the next. Every conventional army, fighting a guerrilla army, comes up with this same list. Problem is, the soldiers on the ground, gradually come to realize that they are just fighting patriotic Iraqis, who want the foreign army of occupation out of their country. And that the Iraqis will fight endlessly, till the last foreign soldier leaves. And, gradually, we will realize that our willingness to suffer and die to hold that ground, is less than theirs (since it's their homeland). The quicker we come to this realization, the fewer Americans die in this colonial war. |
