Hydrogen is hydrogen and oxygen is oxygen. I'm not sure what you're getting at. Feel free to quote a relevant counterexample if that would help clarify your point. Elements do have different isotopes and it is reasonable to assume that the distribution of such isotopes may vary in different locations but presumably that's not what you're talking about.

I find your statement curious, not ridiculous.
