I've only seen a dozen or so of your posts, Spirit, but you seem so rabid that I wonder if you even know what the truth is. Both major parties do their best to get people emotionally involved in a few issues, and then do most of their doo-doo while their constituents are wrestling with the emotional issues and can't see or don't care what the Big Boys are doing. The same garbage/manipulation happens in other countries, so it's not unique to this one.

And a side note about some issues here in CA. The suspicion here is that Davis has more cozy relations with the energy companies than Bush or Cheney. The companies got their money, Davis got whatever he wanted, and now both "sides" pretend to hate each other. This approach feeds the rabid masses on both sides of the political spectrum, the good people are angry and end up paying more out of their own pockets, and the political machines walk away laughing with the money.
