Here is an good article on the Davis recall in California. suntimes.com You will find that the recall is led by ultra-right kook Darrel Issa of San Diego who pumped a million dollars into the campaign to gather signatures on the recall petition. Issa earned his money after he gave up his career as a car thief and insurance arsonist in Cleveland,and founded a car alarm company. The sale of his business netted an estimated $150 million. He used some of the funds to run in a Republican primary in California for the US Senate and lost. He Later a won a seat as US Representative from San Diego, John Birch society country.
