I am sure that a military convoy would have to keep going because to stop in "hostile" territory would put the whole convoy at greater risk. This is a war and a military occupation in hostile territory. It's sad and that kid should not have got in the way. These soldiers know that their fellow soldiers are dying every day and they are worried. They are going to follow their training and I believe they are trained to not stop. Stopping a military convoy with a child could be a tactic of an enemy force waiting to attack. Sad facts of war.
