Louis, I do not care for black box systems or any other kind of programmed system because they are not able to take advantage of many anomalous situations. For example, after falling for two months, daily MACD for XAU and HUI crosses over and turns up but certain quality juniors are still at their lows. IMO, that is a low risk opportunity. It's true that there are no perfect systems, programmed or not, which is why I like to adjust the size of my position to hedge what I perceive to be the current risk. I consider my own way of trading to be an approach, not a system. TA provides some very good information, but I have learned not to take it literally... witness the recent HUI breakout/fakeout.
