I know this. As long as U.S. troops were in Saudi Arabia, al-Qaeda's mission was to kill Americans.
I also know, that as long as Saddam was in power, U.S. troops would be in Saudi Arabia.
I know that group that was founded by members recruited by OBL's brother in-law received money from Iraq for killing American troops. I know that one of this groups primary missions is now to kill Americans (just like their parent organization - al Qaeda).
I know that hiding components to build a nuclear bomb in your garden, is not what the UN or the USA meant, when they demanded that Iraq completely dismantle, destroy, and document the end of its WMD programs. I doubt that a gas centrifuge hidden in man's garden is in compliance with the demands of the UN, or the United States.
And I belive, that in 1998, if President Clinton (or Chirac) knew that a gas centrifuge and other components vital to the construction of a nuclear bomb were hidden in a Iraqi nuclear scientist's garden, that garden would have been targeted with a cruise missle (with French blessings).
I believe, that if the hidden gas centrifuge had been discovered by UN Inspectors last year, everyone including the French, Germans, and Russians would have been members of the "coalition of the willing." |
