Hi Matt, iHub's gotmilk here :o)
.
Please Note:
While this post doesn't have a carbon copy feature,
please assume the following:
c.c. (Matt Brown's) Unkel Bob, We did it!
.
Now Matt,
.
You did post a request on this thread, just after the change
in ownership of Si, stating that BobZ is the Admin and that
you wish to post only as a person with strong, but undislosed,
to Silicon Investor (the company.)

ok, etc
.
Now i'am sure you remember my posts on iHub in reference to
what i think the "Welcome to iHub/Si" should be eventhought
you did state that you were unable to understand my posts :o)
.
ok, times two
.
In that Got-Milk-Speak, of sandwhich you were unable to de-code,
was a thought of mine that people not yet paying members of
either Si here or iHub over there would first try to get a feel of,
(you know, "The Pulse") of what this I, for Investment, place is.
So if they read the official Welcome board, or thread as its called here,
what do they get? If today is an example, the I in Si might mean:
(or) better yet, their reaction might be, as follows:
"What the ****? I'am gonna "invest" in Trash Talk?"
(aka) I don't think so, bye bye.
.
Now its clear that whether or not the markets stay the same,
or get better or worst, is like predicting the weather :o)
But either way the survival of investing message boards
depends directly on getting the "strong investing" folks
of type Dr. Zeev Hed and one today(yesterday) spoke here
that wants a trandser to iHub, and probably a dozen or more
or less i don't know since i don't trade and have no reason
to travel those threads/boards. But the point is that as you
and BobZ know, these few in number types will decide the
health of investing message boards, and if the markets does
any downturn then only one or two sites will survive, and the
best chance they have is if they already contain the most of
these strong investing posters. So, how many does iHub + Si have?
Or better yet, how many are contained in RB, Yahoo, Fools
and wherever else this type of investing discussions take place?
Or to put it "Bottom Line" you and BobZ might consider a total
"make-over" of Si & iHub to erase Trash Talking. BUT, i'am NOT
suggesting a removal or "colorful" members like that just mentioned
one that used the ESAD letters since to me this 1% of his style
can be asked to be removed, allowing a unique & bright posting
that brings out more than the square'ness of those others
that seem to make the day long :o) And then thee are the
types with unknowned styles like E. Charters, Graystone,
Rarebird, o49r etc etc that can add without filling :o) like that
sugar-sour candy or KKD or hot peppers etc (or) not needed
but are really needed for some, and avoided for most.
.
The following thread here on Si might be good to use.
.
SI's TERMS of USE Enforcement Discussion

But then this other one to me is really where Si is now,
and to me it stinks. The thread has less than 100 posts
and hopefully BobZ cab read it all.
