Geez! When the cat's away, the mice start dancing on the keyboards to the tune of 87 new posts to this thread. I'll have to catch up tomorrow.

Track was fun until the car broke just before lunch today. Nothing horribly major but it took it out of commission for the rest of the day.

Also had my first spin and first out-of-track experience in 7 years of doing this. And it wasn't in my car. One of my students, in a 540i, told me he wanted to do what he'd seen an M-Coupe do just seconds before he stuffed the car into a turn at M-Coupe speed on an M-Coupe line and completely lost it. He could've saved it but did the standard rookie (and oftentimes expert) mistake of applying whoa pedal to stave off an unpleasant situation. It was all over and we'd backed off the track into the mud before I could finish hollering "Throttle!" into the helmet mic.

Nothing hurt but our pride. He did that 2 laps into his session, then I broke my car 3 laps into my session immediately after, with him in the car.
