XAU isn't a particularly great indicator.

There's a couple of big hedgers like ABX in the mix. I think the BUGS index is more representative of gold stocks in general.

I tried to figure out Barrick's hedge book once. There's a lot of deferred and optional hedges in there. I didn't understand it.
