Ha, ha, very funny about the Listerine, Del. I take plenty of vitamin C when I am sick, but I have discovered through lengthy scientific experiments that Southern Comfort is a better gargle, okay??!! Do you want me to be miserable, too?? But I would be interested in a longer discussion of dl Methionine when you're in the mood.
I cannot think of a place that sounds more beautiful than your sister's cottage on the lake at Wild Rose, Wisconsin. Is it that special? It sounds like poetry or something.
I am too ill to be at work, but not sleepy enough to spend the whole day in bed, so here I am. I know we agree on a lot, but I read a very scary article about a recent nuclear accident at the Hanford reactor in Washington state, I believe, where no one did what they were supposed to, the proper alarms were not raised, there was general panic, and radioactive materials escaped. While nuclear energy is helpful, there are certainly downsides to its widespread use. Greenpeace activists stormed the Sellafield reactor in France because of similar concerns. On the other hand, you are doing interesting things with solar power, and I was just reading about how the Findhorn community in Scotland is using windpower for energy. I couldn't get their http to work here, but they are at the forefront of exploring technologies to create sustainable communities in the next century.
Technically speaking, do you think it would be possible to achieve environmental goals without the use of nuclear energy? And did you check out the url about hemp that jpmac posted a couple of days ago here?

When will you be back, Del? It must be hard to have to rush to a public library to get a little SI in your blood or something!!! |
