that wasn't my point, nor would I deny that

what's popular isn't always to my taste

my comment was regarding his being a 'poet' in his music

I don't see it

when I think of musical poetry Dylan, Morrison, Lennon come to mind

it's not just the vulgarity of his words, it's the violence

of course kids like him, they like anything that their parents don't - it's shock and awe in a musical form
