I also can't help wonder if she quotes accurately. So much coming from the N.Y. Times these days are half-truths, or outright distortions.

It always hurts when someone with the credibility of a Dowd takes aim at your politician, assuming one cares. She was wicked bad on the Clintons. I would always brace myself before reading her.

As for the quotes stuff, not to say anything about your motives, Michael, but that's a constant refrain from that portion of the right wing pr machine that thinks taking down the NYTimes is a good thing. It won't wash because papers like the Washington Times are only tabloids. Our great newspapers, the NYTimes, Washington Post, LATimes, etc. have a commitment to getting the story right. They can be criticized for not doing so and will try to do better. The same cannot be said for weaker papers and political tabloids like the Washington Times.
