Thanks. I figured it had to be something like that. The terminology is too vague. We are not banning the act of getting married, we are refusing to recognize the entity as a legal relationship.

I still think the push to recognize it as a "marriage" instead of simply a "contractual civic union," implies a social agenda that should be opposed by persons or groups that see it as an attempt to socially engineer a different society.
