Do you believe that atheists have rights? That their beliefs and ability to practice atheism should be protected? If so, how does that differ from the rights of a Christian homosexual? There are a good number of homosexuals who believe in and practice Christianity. When comparing atheists and Christian homosexuals, who is better, in the eyes of the religious right? Does one group deserve to have their rights protected even thought they actively deny God, while the other that embraces Him does not?
