What does Bush raising money for his reelection campaign have to do with California's budget mess? Could it be that it just pisses off this "columnist" that the donors don't just send their money straight to Gov. Davis - otherwise the two subjects are about as related as the money spent to produce Charlie's Angels II and funding for fighting AIDS in Africa.

Then there's this line: "A Times article last week noted that the wealthiest 400 taxpayers accounted for more than 1 percent of all the income in the United States in 2000, "more than double their share just eight years earlier."

Let's see... the "wealthiest 400" doubled their share of the nation's income during the eight years of Clinton's presidency. OK, and this supports the anti-Bush "argument" how?

Well, I'll grant one thing - this guy sure knows how to appeal to his target audience (i.e. gullible potential democratic voters like you). Just start out with an expression of concern about starving children, then switch to outrage over the "bountiful patronage of the upper class", work in some impending doom, and close with another starving kids reference followed by some meaningless, but ominous sounding phrase like "the Bush Juggernaut... rolling over..." um... fairness and all that is good in the world, or something like that.

LOL. The first part sounds like the classic "look at all that food you're wasting - don't you know there are starving children in India" line mothers used to use to get kids to eat their vegetables. The rest of it makes even less sense.

But what's even more ridiculous than this trash is that you think it is meaningful journalism.
