MARKSVILLE - Two state prison employees and another woman face charges of "soliciting for prostitutes" after flashing obscene signs at motorists, Marksville police said.

Two juveniles also were taken into custody in the Friday incident.

Police said the handmade signs read things such as "Will Work for Sex" and "Honk for Big Boobs."

Other signs gave a price for sexual favors like $25 with it marked out and $10 underneath.

One sign had drawings of body parts on it, Assistant Police Chief John Augustine said.

Nicole T. Aymond, 19, of Hessmer, Brandi Lynn Lemoine, 21, of Mansura and Missy Sue Almond, 21, of Cottonport each face a charge of soliciting for prostitutes.

The juveniles were released to their parents.

Police did release how old the juveniles were and whether or not they were issued citations.

Almond and Lemoine are employed at the Avoyelles Correctional Center in Cottonport.

Prison officials confirmed their employment Monday but did not release a statement on their job status.

On Friday, police received a complaint about 4:54 a.m. of a vehicle with occupants holding up signs to passing motorists.

One caller reported seeing the women and their signs in the parking lot of a local business.

Officers said the vehicle, which had a fake hand hanging out of the trunk, was located, and the group was taken into custody.

It is unknown why the women were flashing the cardboard signs.

Police said the report stated there was no evidence of alcohol use.

The women were allowed to post bail at the police department and were released.

If convicted, the women face a fine of not more than $500 or imprisoned for not more than six months or both.
