I'm off for cross-country trip to take the temperature of the eastern U.S.. A week or so of amateur diagnostic effort. Will probably spend a bit more time than usual delving into the transportation scene as the semi situation is so rank that the smell of rotting inventories alone tells the stinky tale. (g)

Normally I don't like to go off on such trips with major exposure, but "this time it is different", as I am fairly well exposed to the short side of the semis and the airlines. I think there was a ton of effort put into holding things up for the quarter end and that with this behind us, selling will dominate. We shall see.
