actually i think about 5 people chimed in with similar types of stories. it didn't get me riled up. far from it: on an anecdotal basis, it's actually very bullish to me to see so many people in denial of what's going on today based on such flimsy evidence as what they heard from an elementary-school teacher with no knowledge of the petroleum industry before they lost their front teeth many decades ago, because it indicates to me that the market is far from pricing in peak oil. it is a very natural human reaction, to be sure--the impressions we receive early on tend to stay with us our whole lives and govern our behavior and outlook. good luck.
