what's baffling to me is how the bush true believers cannot even discern the man's insincerity when he makes a speech... it's plain to see... in a way you have to feel sorry for the guy... signing up to be prez when evertyhing was about to go to hell in a handbasket... i read something recently... many scholars and such these days want to put politicians into either the 'good' or 'evil' box, with no in-between... in truth all politicians are neither good nor evil but simply tragic... this is sort of the way the ancient greeks saw things... well maybe tragicomic... and if you ask me - not that anyone did - bush is high on the tragicomic meter... keep in mind that in private i was one of the hardiest clinton bashers... i have friends who still think that clinton was the bees knees and think i'm a rabid republican...
