PB I'm sure something eats jellyfish. But you are right, they are taking over the world [the oceanic part anyway]. They have help from White Pointer sharks. Between them I'm far less inclined to venture into the water than I once was. They can have it!

It's too cold anyway. The amount of global warming we've been able to get going is pathetic, so the ocean around us is far too cold for me to wallow in it pleasurably.

Jellyfish might turn into an excellent energy source. Filter them out of the ocean with huge nets, centrifuge them to get most of the water out, then burn them in power stations. Or maybe the protein from them would be good for feeding snapper in fish farms. Or feeding shellfish [mussels] which would be good for feeding us and snapper.
