Take the lid off of SS contributions, eh? That's a real "voice from Sherwood Forest!" I read yesterday the the Bulge hits in 2025, when you and I will be doddering along at 90 years of age, if we make it. Raising the age limit now to 73, when the people affected are 40, seems the easy way out. If the Repubs get the reelection they expect, you are going to see privatization of SS. The prevailing thinking seems to be, "if these various Government programs are going to stay, lets change them so that they are not longer Government run. That will get rid of the people who will vote for Democrats." You see this with outsourcing the workforce. You no longer have Government workers who always vote for the left, and you gain private contractors who will contribute to the right. Neat, Huh?
