When did globalization begin? [Choose the closest one.]

A. When the word "globalization" first appeared in the dictionary.
B. When the word "globalization" was first coined by [unknown]
C. World War I
D. 3000 B.C.

In some ways you could say D or even earlier. It became a more major factor with Alexander's empire and the Roman empire. It grew much more after WWII.

But that definition depends on how much you focus on "the world's". If under Alexander Greek ideas and goods got to India and vice versa there was an increase in connectivity and interdependence. If however you require a real global effort with most of the world sharing in ideas and goods and services then it began in relatively modern times.
