Dalin, thanks ole Buddy, but ain't no way I'm gonna learn to talk sailor talk. I even flunked schoolin' on how to talk proper. I'll just continue with my good ole street language.
Funny, with all the hob-nobbin' I do with higher ups, you'd think I'd even learn some culture. Heck, back in my corporate America days, one company even sent me off to etiquette school for a week. What a hoot. Taught me how to talk, how to spit food out in public, how to use a fish knife, how to pick my nose, you name it. I rebelled. Gave the teachers fits. They said I was uncouth. They said I would not make it as an executive. Told them they were too late, I already was one. hee, hee, hee......
I'll just stay with, "turn right, turn left, go up to the front of the boat, no, the back, pass me that rope, where's the north star...."
I do like your terms, though. Funny. However, something tells me you know the REAL meaning of every one of them. Aren't you the one with a yacht?
