as I mentioned last fall, spending the summer up in the Yukon & upper BC. Making a video of the Cassiar Hwy and often staying in one of my favorite places, Stewart/Hyder (at the end of Hwy 37a), the tandem hauling trucks were running 24/7 hauling ore out of the Eskay (which is located off the Bob Quinn FS road). The manager of the campground in Stewart/Hyder had 2 sons working at the mine and showed me a sliced sample of the ore which was almost pure black, said the gold was in there. They run these trucks from the Eskay to the little port in Stewart and ship the ore to China & Japan for processing. Was often tempted to drive down to the mine but figured I'd be met with armed guards at the gate.<G>
