My impression is that's one more of the consequences of the take over of the Dem party by the DLC. The Dems have always had the Establishment money with them. Thats a result of their Ivy League educations. "Noblis oblige," and all that. Gotta help out the downtrodden. Didja read the gossip about the coming Cuomo/Kennedy divorce? Where and how they met, and the poverty projects that fill up their empty little lives, show this off very well. The Repubs get the self made guys who went to State Colleges.
