Of course it is not difficult for one who admits to a personal and subjective interest in the matter. If I was there with my daughter I would have a different opinion as to who ought to live.

An Absolute Principle external to personal feeling or thought would (of course) be impartial. People, however, are not impartial. If they were it would be a world without love and without meaning. Morals are a human construct. Rules of conduct exist only because we do. There is no "morality" Universe that exists like some invisible ether as a substratum to the universe of physics. At least, it seems dubious...
