Applied Komatsu (a subsidiary of AMAT) EBT array tester claims compare to PHTN's method: Better system reliability (MTBF) Lower cost of ownership Higher throughput More accurate defect detection and characterization Better scalability to large size display and high resolution display. And they are taking market share. PHTN's advantage is that their method is atmospheric while EBT requires a vacuum. That disadvantage can be further engineered away by integrating the deposition and inspection equipment, although AKT hasn't had to do that to take market share. How will PHTN respond?
