If transmissibility were much easier, it might make sense, but it is not, and only requires precautionary measures, like wearing a condom, to avoid contracting the illness, which, in any case, is not carried by all homosexuals. Also, with current drugs, it is not necessarily fatal. One cannot eliminate all risk. Do you advise shutting down car dealerships because promoting cars is like promoting maiming and death, given an inevitable number of accidents? Also, one can make the argument that uncloseting gays, by making it easier to track the disease and to target relevant populations with preventive advice, has helped to keep AIDs under control. It is in Africa, where no one will admit to homosexual sex, and it is ostensibly transmitted by prostitutes, that the epidemic is out of control, not this country..........
