Using your exact same chart, but looking at a longer term, your logic might say that IBM should drop from here rather than rising? Why is a 6 month chart the right one to look at rather than 5 years?

Is there any fundamental reason (i.e. PE, ROI, debt/equity, PSR, et al) that it should rise?

Or any technical price pattern that you follow which IBM meets?
