yup....back a few months ago i couldn't believe the shorts on these threads praying for a few 5-10% drops while stocks were running up 50-100-200-500% right in front of their faces.... i made "math" post back then warning them the "math" was going to kill them..... just use my example and put it in perspective...... the "49k" long part....and the "8k" short part.... in these rallies like from april till now.....those thinking "long" have that whole big "49k" area to work in and pull out chunks of profit..... but...in these rallies...those thinking "short" only have that "8k" area to work in and try and pull out a few crumbs..... and god have mercy on the shorts who "short" into that "49k" area......as they lose money hand over fist and "can not" make it up by having to work in that little itty bitty "8k" area to try and get their money back...... that right there is as clear a picture as you can paint as to why shorts getting killed will not get it back in this type market.....they have very little room to work in....that little "8k" zone.... where as longs have a big area to grab profits from....that "49k" zone..... thats what a bull trend is about and why shorting one and missing the "up" can cause you very much financial pain for a long time...... this isn't the 2000-02 market anymore where shorts could "wait" it out....there zone for profit is small now.....and grabbing for crumbs won't cut it while you are missing the great % gains going up..... mathematically the short minded have the odds stacked way against them now....
