Yes, to the eternal disgrace of the US. You're not advocating that we repeat that mistake, are you? Ashcroft has got to stop viewing liberty and freedom as something that prevents him from doing his job. Yes, it is much easier to prevent terrorism in a totalitarian government, but that is just one of the costs of freedom. Keeping us safe while preserving our Constitutional freedoms.
