Would you have supported a total lift of all sanctions on Iraq including those covering weapons and "dual use" items that could be used to make chemical or bio weapons?

With the proper inspection and verification program in place, absolutely.


What would have been left to inspect and verify? Notice my exact question from before. In that scenario Iraq would be allowed to import weapons and dual use items that can be used for WMD creation.

In general I am not for sanctions. I think you exaggerate when you say they never work but in most cases they do more harm then good. However I don't think Iraq should have been allowed to import weapons and WMD making material. And the attempt to allow more imports without allowing those things never made it through the UN.
