Selecting a VP early is a little risky. First of all it's a little arrogant, second it's not always an easy choice. Reagan picked a liberal early first time he ran and lost the nomination. But yeah I know what you mean. So long as Kerry knows the man he wants.

Dojnt worry, dean wont get that far before the moderates gang up on him. Lieberman, Edwards, Kerry, Graham and Gephardt all know only one of them can be nominated, and secretly they all know Kerry is the one. Dean is the Bill Bradley of this election.
