Gore actually DID win (gregpalast.com) but who cares now, except now to let it happen again. Florida may decide it again and Kerry, assuming he's the nominee which I believe is 90% likely, has three Veeps I know of who can deliver Florida for him. Clark, Graham or Richarson. Maybe even edwards, but he wont be picked unless he can deliver North Carolina.

There is no chance Bush will get NY or California despite GOP bravado. So give Kerry Florida and it's almost all over for Bush. The Bushie optimism is wholly based on post-war polls. Since then he's way back down to earth, probably below 60% in approvals and below 45% in those who will definitely vote for him. Will be close but it's probably all about florida again.

Plus, despite the whoopla lately I dont expect the economy to come back next year in any meaningful way. It's really about jobs and even Bush is downplaying what he can accomplish there with his tax cuts. He will end up losing at least 3 million jobs during his 4 years. And lower wages and fewer benefits too.
