Re gas guzzlers. They are a huge drag on the economy. Higher energy prices are worse than a tax increase because that money goes overseas some btw to islamic militants.
Re the states. I don't think things like schools prisons fire houses roads and police are a waste. Bloomberg learned when he became mayor that there was very little fat he could cut from NYC budget. Can't believe you swallow the myth that gov spending is wasteful and inefficient.
