WTH, you've proven many times you can't handle yourself in a substantive debate. You prove it daily.

U.S. unemployment rose to its worst level in nine years in June as businesses cut thousands of jobs, the government said Thursday.
You are aware, are you not, that the highest level of unemployment in the Great Depression was under FDR?

And, in case you want to hold his predecessor entirely at fault, FDR engineered another mini-depression in 1937. And that was entirely on his watch.

It is also widely recognized that unemployment is a lagging indicator these days- -ever since those Feds you so admire decided the books needed cooking and started dropping people from the unemployment count to make the numbers look better. Now what happens is that unemployed who had quit looking and are no longer counted start looking again once more jobs become available- -and the unemployment rate rises as things start improving.

Let's see, have you noticed the market has put on quite a rally? You were claiming a while back it is a leading indicator. OK, then it's indicating better times are coming.

the percentage of unemployed people who have exhausted unemployment benefits is now near an all-time hire. (sic)
And the unemployment high in the Great Depression was 25%. We're less than a quarter of that.

GWB was left a royal shambles of an economy by his predecessor. That SOB was lucky enough to bail out just as the bubble he had built burst. Now we have to clean up his mess.
