Honestly, I have been mystified long enough that so many people were actually willing to settle for those bond rates, with so little return. Must be a bad case of baseless belief in all that "deflation" talk...

When a Fed governor talks about printing money AND its consequences (i.e. lower USD value), there are only two options:
(1) He is an idiot
(2) He WANTS the USD to go down

I think it is the latter. Hence I shorted the USD.

That crap about "strong dollar" meaning "a currency difficult to counterfeit" was hilarious. I could hardly believe he could say that with a straight face. It was like the Twilight Zone.
