The topic was Iraqi babies ... I suppose babies weren't around when Saddam had the Kurd's villages gassed, or when he shelled and strafed the Shias in the south, or when he had his government take control of most of the wealth of Iraq and spend a large part of it on things like weapons and palaces rather then food and medicine. As for the question could we have contained Iraq - Well yes we could have at least for a time, but in the meantime the Iraqi people would still be suffering with Saddam and sanctions and the war might have only been delayed.
