Whether we like it or not we have to increase troops in Iraq now to maintain order. That's a real shame, especially for our guys over there who are so over-worked, are getting killed and wounded and so badly need and deserve to come home.

Some say we'll have to hire foreign mercenaries to relieve our guys, but that's messy and expensive too. If only Bush had waited a little longer and been sincere about giving the UN a chance, then UN peacekeepers could relieve our guys and we wouldn't have half our army stuck in one hot dust-bin country, spending hundreds of billions of scarce tax-payers money the state governments need so badly now.
