Ted, like it or not, we are already deeply involved. Not only us, but also Europe and all of the Middle East.

Listen......there are three key players in this party: the Israelis, the Palestinians and us. The Europeans may give some aid as may some of the surrounding Arab states but they are the choir.

If it were just between the local Israelis and the local Palestinians, we wouldn't be seeing every single event of this conflict show up on page one of the local newspaper.

Do you think Israel/Palestine dominate the European press like it does ours? I don't believe so. Check out the Guardian, BBC, the Independent, Le Monde.........Israel/Palestine are not mentioned nearly as often as in the American press.

There are so many external factors in this conflict that it's somewhat naive to think the solution has to do with just the two people groups alone.

Naive? I think its naive to believe that we or anyone else outside of Israel/Palestine can solve the problem. The West had been trying for nearly 100 years with little success. Actually, the West has made things worse.

Why do you think we give Israel so much aid in the first place?

A large Jewish population with significant lobbying power in DC.

Why do you think Arab nations support the Palestinians so much?

First and foremost, they are anti Semitic. Secondly, because we support Israel. Thirdly, Israelis have a made success out of their plot of land. Fourthly, Israel is a democracy and most of the Arab nations are not.
