So what harm in continuing inspections? Now we know there was no imminent threat. The White House knew they were exaggerating the threat. Saddam hadn't done anything that bad in many years. We had already bombed the hell out of him in 1998, targeting all known weapons sites.

So what was the real reason they had to invade when they did? Any idea? The US just doesn't start wars for no particular reason. Or do we? Or is the reason something they have never admitted?
