Sarkie....You know I'm sorry...I've felt that way many times in the last few months....But it seems to come and go....I've had lots of things with more severe pain, but on a short term (3-4 weeks or so) NOT like this for several months..
Problem is, both of us are used to coming and going pretty much as we dang well please, and I thing that applies to EACH one of us on this board....Probably none of us realized that we did so much, until we got sidetracked for awhile....
Also, I think that I'm afraid....don't want to have this for a long term thing...Made my mind up to that some time ago. BUT, it's still here, and causing trouble.
PT is helping me to a degree. I'm thinking seriously of trying accupuncture in a few weeks, and supplement the PT... AND I am trying to not only do the exercises the PT guy suggests, plus the ice, and (the hardest one) staying off my feet for an hour or so every few hours....It does seem to help, even if you and I think it is a supreme waste of time...
The alternative just isn't good....so trying to be more compliant...
We have spent the last few days down at our boat....finally...! It took nearly a year after the vagrants got on it, and totally trashed the inside....HUGE bunches of money to completely redo the inside....and caused the insurance company and us untold grief to say nothing of stress and money. The folks (5 companies) that helped put it back together again, did such a terrific job....We're very grateful!
So now, moving very carefully, both of us are spending some time this week, opening all the new boxes and packages of stuff, and going though all the old stuff that was cleaned to see if it is something we are going to keep or toss...then find it's new home.
We still have about 20 boxes of stuff to go through and put away....but have gone through about 30 boxes and new bags of things and they have their place now.
It's a 42 foot twin diesel...there are 3 sets of stairs (into the galley forward--into the master cabin aft) and up to the back deck...oops ..there are 4 sets...from the back deck up 3 more to the fly bridge...plus the big step getting on and off the boat in the first place. Hard to do with a cane, but without one, I probably couldn't do it right now....
So do what they tell you....and then you all come on up here and we can at least go sit on the back deck.... |
