Dean is going to start having to face some withering critiques now. He has had a free ride so far. The reason is a co-frontrunner now is that he pretty much dominates the 30% most lefty wing of the party while Kerry, Lieberman, Edwards, Graham and Gephardt have to split up the centrist majority. But remember, only one centrist can emerge in the end. That's going to be Kerry and the others will endorse him to keep Dean from being nominated. Also, Kerry will still beat Dean in New Hampshire. Yes, Dean is like a Tsongas-Bradley type, running against the center. But as we know, if the Dems elect the rebel lefty, they lose against Bush for sure. Everyone in the know knows this, and that's why they'll all get together and stop Dean from going anyplace beyond where he is now.
