The GOP expects to balance the budget without raising taxes in California? Have you seen the list of the spending cuts they want to make? Most people when they see that list will say "No wait, I'll pay the frigging car tax, it's better than shutting down kindergardens, hospitals and fire departments". Not to mention tens of thousands more lost jobs.

California pays the federal government far more than we get back. That ought to be reversed right now. The US needs a healthy California to drive the economy.

You cant have it both ways. Either you fund education, health care and public safety or you can keep taxes low or cut them. You cant have both. No household in the country could survive by using Voodoo Economics so I wonder why the Republicans thnk they can.

The claim that Reagan increased revenues by lowering taxes is another myth. Maybe there were more revenues but there were also collosal debts which had to be paid off by Bush Sr. and CLinton, both of whom RAISED taxes to try to pay off the RR deficits. So Reagan and Bush drove up deficits but now you want to blame Davis for them? Unfair. Foul!

And Republicans DO have to take responsibility for Bushie energy thieves ripping us. That ripoff scheme was clearly supporting by the Bush-Cheney machine. They even co-mingled funds with Enron to run their disinformation campaign blaming it al on Davis. Brought to you by Ed Gillespie, current new RNC chief and Enron's top lobbyist.
