The recall effort is an attempt to subvert democracy pure and simple. It's a loophole they found they are trying to exploit by pouring tens of millions into, to try and craft a coup d'etat while Davis is weak and California voters are busy thinking about other things. It's a blueprint the new GOP is using all over the country, from Florida to Texas to California. What's at stake? Many billions of dollars oin real estate, timber, oil and other deals.
