Am I addicted? No... it's how I choose to spend my free
time and entertainment dollars. I don't consider it a "lack of virture"

Just think of all the starving children in 3rd world countries who could be fed with those thousands of $$s thrown away in seconds on the whim of someone who has more than enough to be comfortable. I can see gambling away a few hundred now & then but not thousands when there are sick children who cannot afford medical care & many other worthwhile ways those funds could be used to relieve another human beings suffering. Afterall, Bennett might not have placed his own fortunate family in financial peril but what about the good he could have accomplished with those $$s & selfishly did not. As I said, winning or, more likely, losing hundreds is as great a fleeting thrill as losing thousands to sleezy casino owners. JMO but I never shrink from expressing them:)

What makes Bill Bennett's action far worse, is the fact I suspect that he was raised to know better. Insensitivity to the needs of poverty stricken children worldwide was complete selfishness on his part & I believe he should have gambled a few hundred(even couple thousand each time) & given the other millions to Save the Children. ....she then stepped down from the soapbox.
