One of the reasons why I despise Alister Campbell so much is he does not even know how to attack the BBC. Himself and Tony Blair are effectively in charge of our troops in Iraq, and I expected something better. Resignations are expected here.

I haven't been following Alistair Campbell closely enough to have an opinion on him, aside from my natural inclination to be for someone who is against the BBC right now.

You can tell from that statement that Israel is at war. I don't see that as a BBC bashing article really.

Did you see the article I linked, comparing BBC coverage of coalition forces in Iraq with Israeli forces in the West Bank and Gaza?

Lets face it. The water situation in Israel means that unless a peaceful and co operative solution is found, that country will have to be abandoned as just another dessert in the longer term.

Huh? The water situation is not so nearly dire as all that, particularly now that heavy winter rains have broken the drought. If it got really bad, they could build a few more desalinization plants. Nobody is going anywhere for lack of water. The Israels just remain sensitive to Syria efforts to divert the headwaters of the Jordan (one of the reasons that they wanted the Golan in the first place, that and to stop the shelling)
